As a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor, she’s passionate about preparing the next generation of FNPs for the realities of practice. At Hippo, that same energy shows up in her content. Off the clock, you’ll find her cheering on college football, testing out new restaurants, or playing games with her family.

Neda Frayha, MD, FACP

Neda Frayha, MD, is a board-certified internist and former assistant dean at the University of Maryland, where she earned multiple teaching awards and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Now Hippo’s Audio Editor-in-Chief and host of Primary Care RAP, Neda combines clinical wisdom with great storytelling. Outside Hippo, she writes, produces public radio stories, and travels with her family.

Sol Behar, MD, is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Long Beach Memorial/Miller Children’s Hospital and longtime host of Peds RAP. He trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where he completed residency, chief residency, and fellowship. Sol’s love of teaching shines through every episode, and his three kids help him stay grounded—and up to date on YA lit.

Paul Hansen, MD, FAAP, FACP, FCUCM

National Chair of Clinical Quality, GoHealth

Dr. Hansen currently serves as the National Chair of Clinical Quality for GoHealth Urgent Care, a role he has held since 2022. He also serves as the Interim Lead Physician for the State of Missouri in partnership with Mercy GoHealth. In recognition of his contributions to medical research, he was named Mercy’s “Researcher of the Year” in 2021. Dr. Hansen’s research interest include clinical care delivery in urgent care medicine and medication stewardship.

Matt DeLaney, MD

Matthew DeLaney, MD, is the voice of ERCast and a professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. A proud Mobile native, he completed his EM residency at Maine Medical Center for after medical school at the University of South Alabama. Before joining UAB, Matthew worked in community EDs where his love for teaching took root. A longtime Hippo host, he co-led Urgent Care RAP before taking over ERCast. He lives in Birmingham with his wife Erin—who's also a physician—and their two daughters.

A University of Iowa PA program graduate, Sarah juggles her work life with raising two active toddlers. On weekends, you’ll usually find her by a swing set or splash pad, soaking up family time.

Matthew Zeitler, MD

Matt Zeitler, MD, is a clinical assistant professor and Associate Program Director for UNC’s Family Medicine Residency. He practices full-scope family medicine across outpatient, inpatient, and maternal-child health settings, and teaches procedures like vasectomies and point-of-care ultrasound. A former chief resident and current contributor to Primary Care RAP, Matt brings curiosity, clarity, and calm to every teaching moment.

Jackie McDevitt-Capetola, PA-C, is a seasoned urgent care and emergency medicine clinician with a passion for advancing the field. A Hofstra alum and Fellow of the College of Urgent Care Medicine, she’s served as Lead Advanced Practitioner at Northwell GoHealth, taught as adjunct faculty, and held board roles with UCA and CUCM. Now a Director of Education at Hippo, Jackie lives in North Carolina with her husband and kids, happily embracing southern life.

Emily Heil, PharmD, MS, FIDP, BCIDP, AAHIVP

Emily Heil, PharmD, MS, is an infectious diseases pharmacy specialist who wears many hats—professor, researcher, and antimicrobial steward. At the University of Maryland, she directs the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and helps shape national guidance on viruses and drug resistance. Emily is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists and has previously been on the board of directors. She’s also an editor for Clinical Infectious Diseases and a champion of smarter, safer prescribing.

Drew Kalnow, DO

Drew Kalnow, DO, is an emergency medicine physician based in Columbus, Ohio, where he completed his residency at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. He co-hosts ERcast and EM Over Easy, a podcast about life in and beyond emergency medicine. Known for his Kelsey Grammer resemblance and dry wit, Drew brings heart and humor to medical education—and believes EM is better when we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Christina Shenvi, MD, PhD

Christina Shenvi, MD, PhD, is an emergency physician and Associate Professor at UNC-Chapel Hill, where she also leads the Office of Academic Excellence. A national leader in geriatric EM, she founded GEMCAST and co-directs the ACEP Teaching Fellowship. She previously served on the Board of Governors for the ACEP Geriatric ED Accreditation. Christina is passionate about pedagogy, deliberate practice, and making medical education more engaging and human—on shift, on air, and in the classroom.

Greg Moran, MD

Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Division of Infectious Diseases at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center

Dr. Moran is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Infectious Diseases and completed all his postgraduate training at UCLA. He is particularly interested in infectious disease problems in the Emergency Department. Research interests include community-associated MRSA, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, infection control, and nonsurgical management of appendicitis. Research publications have appeared in JAMA and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Moran is a co-investigator for EMERGEncy ID NET, a nationwide network of emergency departments developed in collaboration with the CDC for the study of emerging infectious diseases. He is a frequent lecturer nationwide at educational programs regarding infectious diseases in the emergency department and is Associate Editor for Annals of Emergency Medicine. He was also medical advisor for 5 seasons of the NBC television program “ER”.
