Neda Frayha is a board-certified internist and former assistant dean at the University of Maryland, where she earned multiple teaching awards and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society. As Senior Lead Editor at Hippo and host of Primary Care RAP, she combines her passion for education with real-world clinical insights. When she’s not at Hippo, Neda writes for national publications, produces public radio stories, and enjoys trying new restaurants with her family.

Ashley Greer, MPAP, PA-C

Since completing her PA program at Keck School of Medicine of USC, Ashley Greer has found her groove in primary care, treating patients of all ages and focusing on nutrition, prevention, and integrative health. As Hippo’s Director of Education and a clinical preceptor for Campbell University's PA program, she helps shape educational content for clinicians. Outside work, Ashley balances her love for fitness on her Peloton with cozy evenings reading thrillers alongside her bernedoodle.

Matthew Zeitler, MD

Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for UNC Family Medicine Residency

Matt Zeitler is a clinical assistant professor and Associate Program Director for UNC’s Family Medicine Residency. He completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland and his residency at UNC, where he served as chief resident. Matt practices full-scope family medicine across outpatient clinics, rural hospitals, and maternal-child health services. He also teaches procedures like vasectomies and point-of-care ultrasound and contributes to the Primary Care RAP podcast.

Micaela Bowers, MD

Micaela Bowers has always been drawn to caring for patients with complex conditions, so it’s no surprise she chose Internal Medicine and Pediatrics as her specialty. After completing her training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she also served as chief resident, Micaela brought her talents to Chicago. Now, she splits her time between treating adults and children at Erie Family Health Centers, being a medical editor at Hippo Education, and spending time with her family, which is where she truly recharges.

Michael Baca-Atlas, MD, FASAM

Assistant Professor at UNC Family Medicine, MD, FASAM

Michael Baca-Atlas completed his medical training at the University of Maryland before moving to UNC for his Family Medicine residency and Addiction Medicine fellowship. He now serves as the associate medical director for the Tobacco Treatment Program and medical consultant for UNC Horizons. As the medical director of UNC REACH Enhanced Primary Care, Michael focuses on treating patients with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Outside work, you’ll find him traveling, experimenting with takeout-style cooking, or spending time with his spouse.

Tom Robertson, MD

Assistant Professor of Medicine, Allegheny Health Network

Tom Robertson is on faculty at Allegheny General Hospital, where he’s the Associate Program Director and Director of Ultrasound Education for the Internal Medicine residency program. After medical school at the University of Maryland, Tom completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on global health and underserved communities. He also co-directs the RIvER Post-Incarceration Clinic, with clinical interests in bedside ultrasound, medical education, and improving care for marginalized populations.
