Our hard working and quick-to-laugh crew creates exceptional medical education products through our technology platform that hosts podcasts, video courses, and more to keep clinicians up-to-date and at their best. We have a team of over 50 with some working at the main studio in Los Angeles while most of us work remotely all across the US. What We Are Looking For
As Hippo’s first Data Analyst, you’ll help us to transition from a 3rd party Data Analytics vendor to in-house knowledge and expertise. In your role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a big impact within our small team, and plenty of room to grow, helping to shape our team and culture. You will take ownership of our Redshift data warehouse, Tableau servers, and Analytics SDKs. Collaboration, an obsession with data analytics, and passion for solving challenging problems will be key to your success.
-Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards in Tableau and other BI solutions.
-Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
-Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new
systems.
-Conducting unit tests and developing SQL queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
- Creating tools to store data within the organization.
- Identifying patterns and meaningful insights from data by analyzing it.
- Twisting SQL queries for improving performances.
-Examining glitches in business processes and resolving them.
-Finding the key areas of automation to make the business processes smooth.
-Developing reference documents or reports for the finalized project.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience as an analyst with active Tableau experience.
-A solid understanding of SQL, relational and non-relational databases and normalization.
-Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools.
-Proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
-Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
- Excellent analytical skills to analyze business needs.
-Problem-solving skills to resolve the issues that appear during development.
-Excellent team building skills.
-Good knowledge of handling databases and proficiency in SQL.
-Expertise in handling all Tableau products (Desktop, Public, Server, Online, and Reader).
