Freelance Video Editor (Contract)
Hippo Education is on a mission to empower the people of medicine to learn, grow, and thrive by creating education and community. Our hard working and quick-to-laugh crew creates exceptional medical education products through our platform that hosts podcasts, video courses, and more to keep clinicians up-to-date and at their best. We have a team of over 70 people with some working at the main studio in Los Angeles while most of us work remotely across the world. Hippo’s a fantastic place to work and we’re genuinely proud of the impact we have on clinicians and their patients.
As we expand our production and create new video courses, we have a need for additional video editors to assist our production team. As a Freelance Video Editor (Contract) for Hippo, you will work closely with our video production team to create the best medical education available.
The Position
Key Responsibilities:
-Edit polished educational videos (multi-camera + slide sets) following provided art standards
-Handle the entire post workflow on each video including:
-DIT of project and editing of multiple revisions based on feedback
-Dialogue Editing and Sound Design
-Color Grading and Basic Graphics (titles, lower thirds)
Qualifications
- -Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- -Proficient color grading
- -Experience with basic dialog editing and sound design
- -Highly organized and proficient at managing workflow
- -Ability to bring creativity to your work
- -A sense of humor, optimism, and desire to impact the world of medicine
