React Native / React Developer

Our hard working and quick-to-laugh crew creates exceptional medical education products through our technology platform that hosts podcasts, video courses, and more to keep clinicians up-to-date and at their best. As a React Native / React Developer, you will build and support features in our iOS and Android apps and are instrumental in creating our next generation products and modernizing our existing codebase. In your role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a big impact within our small team, and have plenty of room to help shape our team and culture. Collaboration and a passion for solving challenging problems will be key to your success.
The Job
Required Skills:

- Expert level React Native/Expo and React
-
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Typescript

- Proficient with GitHub
-
- Excellent communication skills
-
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- A great sense of humor, optimism, and collaboration
Principle Responsibilities:

- Build new features, maintain existing features, and investigate
-
production issues for both iOS and Android React Native applications.

- Participate in code reviews and suggest technology and process
-
improvements.

- Collaborate with other developers, design team, and product owners
-
to understand user goals and deliver solutions efficiently.

- Develop understanding of all of Hippo's products and product types,
-
and develop expertise in one or more areas of our codebase.

- Collaborate as part of an agile team (2 week sprints,
-
weekly task grooming meetings, sprint reviews).
Bonus points for experience with:

- Experience working in fast paced and high-performance Agile teams

- Knowledgeable with testing and building tools (Npm, Vite, Jest, Detox)

- Familiarity with Sequelize ORM, postGraphile

- Knowledgeable with Github Actions and EAS Build

Details:

- Salary range: $105 - $115,000 per year

- Full time, 100% remote position
