Sol Behar is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Long Beach Memorial/Miller Children’s Hospital, where he brings both clinical expertise and a passion for education. He completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Sol has been the host of Peds RAP since its launch in 2015, using his love for teaching to break down complex topics in ways that resonate with clinicians. Outside of work, his three kids keep him grounded – and give him an excuse to stay current on YA literature.

Dr. Parul Bhatia has been caring for children seen in the ambulatory and inpatient setting at CHLA and for over 15 years. She is currently the Co-Clerkship Director for Pediatrics for the Year III students at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and is the Co-Clerkship Director for Pediatrics for the Year IV students at CHLA.
Dr. Bhatia is the California Chapter 2 American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Champion for Early Hearing Detection and Intervention, and is nationally known for her work in infant-toddler hearing screening in the medical home.

Dr. Cosimini is a general pediatrician and educator. He was previously chief resident and then on faculty at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and now teaches and practices at OHSU in Portland, OR. His work focuses on developing and using educational techniques that work in the real world with a focus on podcasting and serious games. To this end, he is a medical editor and contributor at PedsRAP and the author of Empiric Game, a card game to teach guideline-based antibiotic use. He can be found on twitter at @MichaelCosimini.

Liza Mackintosh completed her General Pediatric Internship and Residency at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). She couldn't leave such a special place and was asked to stay as a Chief Resident and then was hired as a faculty member in the Division of General Pediatrics. She is a practicing pediatrician, clinician educator, certified lactation educator and the Site Medical Director of the AltaMed CHLA clinic (a very busy outpatient Federally Funded Health Care General Pediatric clinic). She absolutely loves her involvement with all things Hippo!

Dr. Ju completed her residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles followed by Chief Residency and Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is now a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. In her free time, she enjoys baking the world's greatest browned butter chocolate chip cookies and camping with her family and friends.

Dr. Patel completed her residency in pediatrics at UCSF in 2011. She works now as a pediatric hospitalist at a community hospital where she gets to do it all (well newborns, attend deliveries, NICU, and peds) and loves every bit of it.In addition to her love of medical education, she is a national expert in advocacy for physicians and climate change and health.
