Dr. Proffitt is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician working as a community emergency physician in Scottsdale, Arizona. She completed both her masters degree and medical school training at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She found her love of podcasting and passion for medical education during residency at Spectrum Health Lakeland in Southwest Michigan. During this time, she became an inaugural member of EMRACAST. Tiffany used her skills to assist in the development of her residency program’s podcast and contribute to CanadiEM podcasts. As if practicing medicine, podcasting, and chasing down twins while spending time with her husband wasn’t enough, Tiffany is the co-founder and co-chairwoman of the HonorHealth Women Physicians Leadership Council. The mission of the WPLC is to increase gender equality by removing barriers and providing greater access to professional development and leadership opportunities for the 550 women physicians within her hospital system.
