At Hippo Education, our mission has always been simple:
Empower the people of medicine to learn, grow, and thrive through education and community.
We started with a single course and a handful of clinicians who believed in our vision. Today, we’re honored to serve clinicians across specialties—Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, and more—and professions including physicians, PAs, and NPs. What began as an idea has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Through it all, one thing hasn’t changed—our commitment to producing content that feels human. Content you actually look forward to. Education that meets you where you are. Tools that make learning feel less like a chore and more like a conversation with a trusted mentor.
And we’re just getting started.
Why the Refresh?
If you’ve been with us for a while, you may have noticed some updates—new colors, new logo, new conference booths, and even new merch. We’ve rebranded Hippo to better reflect who we are today and where we’re headed.
Here’s our thinking behind the change:
- We’ve grown. In the past 14 years, we went from offering a single course to a suite of podcasts, bootcamps, and Qbanks—we’re reaching more clinicians than ever. Our new look reflects the breadth of what we now offer and what’s still to come!
- We’re people first. Everything we do is built on connection. Person-to-person. Clinician-to-clinician. Our branding highlights the thoughtful curation and personal touch that makes Hippo different.
- We value flexibility. Medicine isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is learning. Our education is practical, engaging, and designed to fit into real life—audio, video, and written formats for learning whenever and wherever you are.
Sharing Our Core Values
We’ve also taken the opportunity to make our core values official—values we’ve used internally for years and now want to share openly with you. These values guide how we work, how we teach, and how we show up for you every day.

Only Human: Stories That Speak to Us All
One of our most meaningful projects last year was Only Human: Real Clinician Stories, Unfiltered, a special audio series about what clinicians think and feel but don’t always say about working in medicine. In a world that expects us to be superheroes, we’re sharing the ways in which we’re all only human.
What makes this series even more special? Clinical educators from every specialty we support—Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics—came together to create it. It’s raw, honest, and filled with the kinds of stories you’ll find yourself nodding along to.
